Barbara Arlene Tosch, 91, of Mussey Township, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born November 13, 1929, in Brown City, the daughter of the late Alva and Leila (Smith) Swayze.
Barbara’s marriage to Ray Harry Tosch was March 25, 1949 at the United Methodist Church, Brown City. Ray passed away December 15, 2014.
Barbara was a member of the Capac United Methodist Church for 72 years where she taught Sunday School for 40 years and played the piano. She was always a helping hand in the church kitchen and joy to have around. Barbara enjoyed bowling and spending time with family. She worked with her husband Ray at Ray Tosch & Associates as a bookkeeper for many years and as an auction clerk.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Kim Tosch of Capac; daughter, Connie Tosch of Capac; four grandchildren, Kelsey (Ross Shavalier) Tosch, Shane (Allie Kujawa) Tosch, Robert Marshall and Dylan Marshall; sister, Marjorie Tereschuk; brother, Donald Swayze; friends, Becky and Craig Marshall; caretakers, Nadine, Yolanda, Terri and Lyla; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Bob (2007), and siblings, Geraldine Clothier, Fern Murray and Elmer Swayze.
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 2 at Capac United Methodist Church, Capac. Rev. Lisa Clark, pastor, officiated. Burial was at Evangelical Cemetery, Mussey Township.
Memorials are suggested to Conrad Community Center, Capac.
