Almont runners excel at race

Almont’s Benjamin Kline, Jenna Kline, Molly Kline and Steven Butler excelled at a Three Mile Road Race recently.

ALMONT — Four Almont competitors brought home top-10 finishes from a Three Mile Road Race on Friday, July 30.

Riverbend Park, in Shelby Township, is where the action unfolded.

Benjamin Kline provided the top Almont division showing that day. His clocking of 26:33 earned him the distinction of Boys’ 12-year-old Division pacesetter.

Jenna Kline wound up fifth among Girls’ 14-year-old Division entries. It took her 26:00 to accomplish the feat.

Molly Kline supplied the next best Almont showing that day. She needed 22:20 to cover the territory, paving the way to a seventh in the Girls’ 16-year-old division.

Steven Butler also fared well for Almont. His time of 19:06 was good for eighth out of Boys’ 16-year-old Division entries.
