Daniel Ray Childers passed away very unexpectedly the morning of July 18, 2021 at the age of 49.

He was born May 27, 1972 in Lapeer, MI. He was the oldest son of Ray and Linda Childers.

Dan graduated from Yale High School in 1990. He has work for Rubber Enterprises since 1990 as a supervisor. He enjoyed sports and being with friends, especially to watch Michigan football. His son Jarrett was the light of his life, and he had said he loved him more than life itself.

Dan is survived by his son, Jarrett; mother, Linda Childers; brother, Jeremy; as well as two nieces, Ava and Zoe Childers. Dan was also survived by his large extended family, Pete and Jen Bullard and sons; John and Kelly Strenk and family; Tim and Mary Strenk and family; lifelong friends, Erik Eide and Scott Hoffman; the mother of his son, Christina Reich; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends and colleagues.

His father, Ray Childers, preceded him in death on July 25, 2020.

The family honors the memory of Dan and invites you to visit and share memories Friday, July 23, 2021 from 4-6 p.m. at Cole United Methodist Church, Brockway. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. Rev. Julia Cramer, pastor, will officiate.
