Dryden’s Ella Kage took seventh in the 1600 run Saturday at the Div. 4 state meet.

CAPAC — The Capac boys’ track team notched one placewinning performance on the way to a three-way tie for 50th last Saturday at the Division 3 state finals.

Jenison High School is where the meet was contested.

Grass Lake (68 points) was the team champion. Benzie Central (34 points), Pewamo Westphalia (30), Sanford-Meridian (26), Homer (23), Dansville (22.5), Chesaning (22), Traverse City St. Francis (20), Clare (18) plus Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central and Sand Creek (16 each) rounded out the top-ten squads.

Bryce Tank, discus, 138 feet 10 inches; led Capac with a sixth.

For his effort, Tank claimed All-State honors (given to the top-eight finishers in each event).
