CAPAC — Capac made host Oakland Christian absorb a 14-1 loss in the title game of a Division 3 softball district last Saturday.

With the outcome, Capac (14-7) continues their postseason path this Saturday at Millington. There they will meet Richmond in a semifinal contest set for noon.

Meriah Mason (a single, double and a triple), Cerenity Helzer (a single and a home run) plus Haleigh Hansen and Chloe Moran (two singles each) led Capac at the plate. Kassy Amon (a double) supported their performances.

Meriah Mason was the winning Capac pitcher. She gave up three hits over five innings, struck out seven and walked two.

Capac advanced to the championship clash with a 9-8 victory over Lakeville.

Amon (two singles and a double), Madalyn Roberson and Mason (two doubles), and Julia Schaefer and Jewel Rickman (two singles apiece) led Capac with multiple-hit performances. They were backed by Skielar Tesnow (a double) along with Moran and Helzer (a single apiece).
