Dryden’s Erin Boettcher placed seventh in the 100 dash at the Div. 4 state finals.

DRYDEN — The Dryden girls’ track team claimed a pair of placewinning efforts en route to a three-way tie for 40th last Saturday at the Division 4 state finals.

Baldwin Street Middle School, in Hudsonville, is where the meet was contested.

Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart (51 points) paced the field assembled. Hillsdale Academy (45 points), Lincoln-Alcona (37), Frankfort (36), Saugatuck (33), Pittsford and Ottawa Lake-Whiteford (25 each), Marlette and Athens (22 apiece) and Maple City Glen Lake (21.75) obtained top-ten finishes as well.

Erin Boettcher, 100 dash, 13.38 seconds; and Ella Kage, 1600-meter run, 5:43.65; led Dryden with sevenths.

For their performances, Boettcher and Kage earned All-State accolades (given to the top-eight finishers in each event).

Kage, 3200 run, 13:02.33; provided Dryden with am 11th.

Olivia Stickler, 400-meter dash, 1:05.71; gave Dryden a 15th.

The Dryden 1600-meter relay of Ava DeVlaminck, Stickler, Kage and Boettcher took 16th. They were timed in 4:44.37.

A 3200-meter relay of Audrey Napolitano, Lily Finnigan, DeVlaminck and Stickler also represented Dryden that day. They registered a 12:14.62 clocking en route to a 19th.
