CAPAC — Capac halved a twinbill against visiting Bad Axe in a non-league varsity softball clash last Wednesday.

In the opener, Bad Axe earned a 3-2 win at Capac’s expense.

Meriah Mason paced Capac with a single and a triple. The Chiefs also had Chloe Moran (a double) plus Cerenity Helzer and Julia Schaefer (a single each) reach the hitting column.

In the nightcap, Capac rolled to a 14-4 victory over Bad Axe.

Moran (a single and a triple), Skielar Tesnow (a single and a double), Haleigh Hanson, Jordyn Wheeler, Madalyn Roberson and Mason (two singles apiece), Kassy Amon (a triple), along with Helzer and Schaefer (one single each) furnished Capac’s basehits.

Roberson was the winning Capac pitcher. She allowed three hits over seven innings, struck out seven and walked two.
