
Capac’s Madelyn Roberson looks to throw out a Harbor Beach

CAPAC — Capac defeated host Harbor Beach twice in a Greater Thumb Conference varsity softball doubleheader last Friday.
In the opener, Capac registered a 13-6 triumph against Harbor Beach.
Paige Hansen (five singles), Cerenity Helzer (two singles and a double), Madelyn Roberson (three singles), Skielar Tesnow (a single and a double) plus Meriah Mason, Julia Schaefer, Chloe Moran and Jordyn Wheeler (a pair of singles) contributed hits to Capac’s cause.
Mason was the winning Capac pitcher. She allowed nine hits over seven innings, struck out eight and walked two.
In the second game, Capac rolled to a 12-2 victory over Harbor Beach.
Kassy Amon, Roberson, Mason, Moran and Helzer (a pair of singles apiece) along with Wheeler and Schaefer (a single each) supplied Capac’s hits.
Roberson was Capac’s pitcher of record. She gave up two hits over five innings, retired seven on strikes and walked one.
