A Celebration of Life service for SFC George Washington Schwab, ARMY (Ret) age 73 of Clarksville, was held Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Sykes Funeral Home.
Burial followed at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY where full military honors were rendered.
George passed away on April 1, 2021. He was born on January 5, 1948 in Turtle Creek, PA to John and Martha Hall Schwab who precede him in death.
George retired from the United States Army after 23 years. He served in Vietnam and Desert Storm. George enjoyed fishing, having BBQ’s with family and friends, and going to the casino.
George is preceded in death by his sister, Martha Shapter.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy Schwab; sons, Robert Schwab and George (Aris) Schwab; grandchildren, Rylan, Savannah, Beckham and Kinsley; siblings, John L. Schwab, Patricia Govitz, Edna Kiviniemi and Gordon Schwab.
