Cecelia Palazzolo, 69, of Imlay City, MI died Friday, March 26, 2021 after a short illness, at William Beaumont Hospital Troy Campus of Troy, MI. Cecelia Cucinella was born April 24, 1951 in Detroit, MI. She was the daughter of the late Gaspare and the late Frances (Elioff ) Cucinella. She grew up in Southgate, MI and was a graduate of Southgate – Anderson High School, Class of 1969. She married Joseph Palazzolo on February 7, 1970 in Detroit, MI.
Cecelia was mostly a homemaker, raising her children and directing the events around their home. She loved to bake and cook, take care of her cats, decorate her home and spend time in her flower gardens.
Cecelia is survived by her husband, Joseph Palazzolo of Imlay City; her daughter, Ann-Marie (Richard) Racette of Milan, MI; her grandchildren, Richard Racette, Mary Racette and Ella Cecelia Racette; one brother; and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaspare and Frances Cucinella; two sons, Joseph Palazzolo and Anthony Gaspare Palazzolo; and a sister, Angela.
A Rosary / Scripture Service was held Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City. Reverend Fr. Noel Cornelio, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Imlay City, officiated over the service.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Saline, MI in the weeks after Easter. The Entombment of Cecelia’s cremated remains will follow the memorial Mass at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Saline, MI.
