Frank A. Racz, age 82, of Imlay City and formerly from Armada Township for many years, passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Ascension Hospital in Rochester Hills, MI. Frank was born October 20, 1938 in Mt Clemens, MI, the son of Alex and Julia (Mak) Racz. After serving in Army in the early 1960s, Frank married the former Karen Roth on December 14, 1963 at St. Clement Catholic Church in Romeo. He then attended the Lamar Barber College in Detroit, served his apprenticeship in Detroit and Rochester and then worked for himself at “Frank’s Barber Shop” from 1965 till retirement in 2005 in the Romeo area. Along with his wife, Karen, they were longtime members of St. Mary’s Mystical Rose Catholic Church in Armada and when they lived in Caseville, were members of St. Roch Catholic Church. Frank was a member of the K of C, Council # 7561 of St Mary’s of Armada, former member of the Washington Twp. Volunteer Fire Department, and a 4-H leader with the Ray Community 4-H club. Upon retirement, he enjoyed traveling, spending time at their home in Caseville, doing all types of woodworking, and just puttering around the house.

Frank is survived by his wife, Karen; daughter, Julia (Adam) Revard of Armada Twp.; and grandchildren, Isabelle and Joseph. Siblings surviving include Doris (Howard) Hicks of Romeo, Helen (James) Biggs of Washington Twp. and sister-in-law Sheryl Wilkens of Washington Twp.

Frank was preceded in death by his siblings, Julie Rocker, Alex, Margaret Raska, Joseph, Rose Kriesch, Betty Parrot, Priscilla Wolfe, James, and Mary Ann Riss.

Funeral services took place on Saturday, March 20 at St. John Catholic Church, Allenton.
