Laura Walton, 63, recently of Lapeer, MI died Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Lapeer County Medical Care Facility in Mayfield Township, MI. Laura Jane Walton was born January 25, 1958 in Attica Township, MI. She was the daughter of the late Melvin and the late Marie (Allis) Walton. She grew up in the Attica and Imlay City area. She was a graduate of Imlay City High School.
Laura is survived by four sisters, Carol (Earl) Harmon of Goose Creek, SC, Evelyn Burton of Millersburg, IN, Beverly (Richard) Blondell of Grand Blanc, MI and Donna Walton of Lapeer, MI; and two brothers, Carl Walton of Columbiaville, MI and Calvin (Gay) Walton of North Branch, MI.
Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Marie Walton; brother, Larry Walton; and brother-in-law, David Burton.
The funeral service was held on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Reverend Grant Lobb, the pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church of Lapeer, officiated. Burial followed in Imlay Township Cemetery.
