IMLAY CITY — Imlay City (5-4, 3-3) came out on top of a 54-43 verdict over visiting Yale (2-4, 2-4) in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity boys’ basketball contest last Friday night.

In Friday’s contest, Imlay City spotted Yale a 13-10 edge after one quarter was done.

The middle two quarters saw Imlay City collect 36 total points and Yale manage 20, leaving the former up 46-33 with 24 minutes gone.

Imlay City then withstood a 10-8 fourth quarter rally, earning a 54-43 win.

For Imlay City, Parker Lewis led the way with 20 points. The Spartans also had Raymond Liu (nine points), Beau Hund (seven), Will Tolley (six), Andrew Badder (five), Dom Ljuljdjuraj and Zack Dingwell (three each) along with Josh Hayes (one) connect.
