IMLAY CITY — Imlay City earned a 69-16 win at visiting Richmond’s expense in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity girls’ basketball meeting last Wednesday night.

With the decision, Imlay City improves to 5-1 overall and 4-0 as far as BWAC clashes are concerned.

In Wednesday’s meeting, Imlay City jumped out to a 31-2 advantage after one quarter was over with and increased their cushion to 45-7 at halftime.

Imlay City then outscored Richmond 24-9 the rest of the way, wrapping up a 69-16 win.

Mary Lengemann paced Imlay City with 16 points. The Spartans also had Abigail Thibodeau (11 points), Kayla Rossen (eight), Dakota Deel (six), Lily Lengemann and Ana Lengemann (five each), Alyssa Evans, Olivia Livingston and Jaya Forti (four apiece), Lexa Forti (three), Natalie Stone (two) and Madison Ross (one) reach the scoring column.
