DRYDEN — Dryden bested host Genesee, 67-25, in a North Central Thumb League varsity boys’ basketball battle last Friday night.

With the result, Dryden improves to 4-1 and 2-0.

In Friday’s battle, Dryden bolted out to a 24-2 advantage after one quarter had ended and widened the gap to 49-13 at halftime.

Dryden then outscored Genesee 18-12 the rest of the way, finishing off a 67-25 win.

Jack Kaplan (20) plus Merrick Maris and Nate Schenkel (11 each) led Dryden with double digit point totals. The Cardinals also had Dylan Ledford and Josh Schornak (nine points each), Jacob Burgess (five) along with Harry Atkinson (two) reach the scoring column.
