Theresa Sharp, 66, of Imlay City, died Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Theresa Pearl Simonis was born June 8, 1954 in Rochester, MI. She was the daughter of the late Frank and the late Hazel (Miller) Simonis. Theresa grew up in the Sterling Heights and Utica, MI areas. She attended Utica Community Schools. She married William Sharp, Jr. on January 27, 1972 in Sterling Heights, MI. Theresa and William have lived in Imlay City for the past 26 years.

She was a homemaker, raising her family. Theresa enjoyed growing flowers, gardening, reading, playing computer games, and going to yard and garage sales. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Theresa is survived by her husband, William Sharp, Jr. of Imlay City; her children, Deanna (Duane) Hintz of Almont, Charles (Laura) Sharp of Tennessee, William F. (Jennifer) Sharp of Lapeer and Christina Sharp of Imlay City; her sisters, Charlotte Simonis, Cheryl Simonis and Carol Steward; brother, Martin (Adele) Simonis; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Samual, Amber, Will, Jenna, Ashley and Natyli; and her great-grandson, Justin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Hazel Simonis; brother, Frank Simonis; and her sister, Dee Dee Simonis.

On Sunday, February 7, the Reverend Fr. Noel Cornelio, Pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, recited scriptures and prayers for those in attendance.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
