IMLAY CITY — Former Imlay City standout Carly Livingston excelled competing for the Grand Valley State University women’s track team last Saturday at the Mike Lints Open her school hosted
Livingston, a senior, posted a pole vault clearance of 12 feet 3 1/2 inches. That enabled her to earn a fifth-place finish.
Kristen Leland, competing unattached, took event honors. Leland cleared 14 feet 3 1/4 inches en route.
A total of 18 competitors were entered in the event.
No team scores were kept that day.
Grand Valley State University returns to action this Friday when it hosts the Bill Clinger Classic. That meet lists a 3 p.m. starting time.
