Jim Jonathan Shereda, Sr., 51, of Attica, died unexpectedly Thursday, January 14, 2021. He was born August 17, 1969 in Warren to parents Gerald and Jane (Blaszczak) Shereda. Jim married Rebecca M. Spooner on August 18, 2001 in Holly.
Mr. Shereda was in sales for the Telsonic Ultrasonics plastic weld company, in Shelby Twp. for fourteen years. He enjoyed anything outdoors; especially hunting, fishing and boating. Cooking was one of his passions, particularly grilling; it’s a social event that can also allow a little beer drinking. Above it all, Jim really enjoyed being with friends, his dog Bolt and of course his family.
Mr. Shereda is survived by his wife of 19 years, Becky; favorite son, Jimmy Shereda, Jr.; siblings, Gerald (Kristina) Shereda, Nancy (Nick) Sulkowski, Joan (Daniel) Sopheia and Janet (Leo) Pauli; and sister-in-law, Dee Dee Spooner. He was preceded in death by brother, Michael Shereda; nephew, David Shereda; as well as his parents.
The funeral service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lapeer, officiated by Pastor Grant Lobb.
Please note, the church COVID rule is no more than 100 people in the church at a time. The family will receive friends from 10-10:55 a.m. at the church. Cremation will follow services.
