Lee Werth, 67, passed January 6, 2021, unexpectedly at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor after a short illness. Lee was born May 15, 1953 in Almont, MI to Arnold and Ethlyn Werth. He grew up in Imlay City and graduated with the Class of 1971.
He was an over-the-road truck driver for almost 40 years. He enjoyed working in his woodshop, spending time with family and friends, old Westerns, hunting, fishing, and spending time with
his wife.
Lee is survived by his wife, Virginia Werth; his children, Michael (Sherry) Werth, Jamie (Joseph) Soit and Douglas Johnston; his grandchildren, Saidie Soit and Stephen Soit; his sisters, Nancy Schuneman and Carolyn Rayl; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his late wife, Judy Werth; his parents, Arnold and Ethlyn Werth; brother, Daniel Werth; and his stepson, Curtis Hollingshead.
The funeral service was held Monday, January 11, 2021 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Pastor Chris Rathbun, pastor of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church in Lapeer, officiated.
