George Otto Spiller, 92, of Capac, passed away January 5, 2021, surrounded by family in the comfort of his home.
He was born July 23, 1928, in Royal Oak, the son of the late George and Helen (Woolard) Spiller.
George married Thelma Jean Struck on August 2, 1949. They spent 70 beautiful years together before Thelma passed away August 8, 2019.
George worked as a millwright at General Motors for 27 years. He was a member of the Forest Masonic Lodge, Capac. George loved hunting, gardening and spending time with his family.
Surviving are five children, George (Mary) Spiller of Yale, Douglas (Joan) Spiller of Port Charlotte, FL, Marsha (Paul) Libkie of Capac, Joanne Spiller of Capac, and Jane (Daniel) Smith of Kenockee Township; 15 grandchildren, Aaron, David, Andrea, Emily, Kammelle, Roy, Amanda, Jennifer, Meghan, Thomas, Sean, Joshua, Lindsey, Tracy, and Daniel; 25 great-grandchildren, Josef, Lainey, Jonah, Benjamin, Micah, Ilah, Arwen, Braden, Madison, Otto, Louella, Ashlynn, Eleanor, Ellowyn, Emerson, Eden, Jonah, Arthur, Jameson, Miles, Chase, Riley, Gracie, Avery and Boone; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Irene Andre and brother, Alvin J. Spiller.
The family honored the memory of George Friday, January 8, 2021, at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Capac. Funeral services followed. Rev. David Webb, pastor of Emmanuel Bible Church, officiated. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, Yale.
