Kenny Bushman Sr., 74, of Almont, beloved husband of Fran, loving father of Laura (Don Sayre) Morales, and the late Joe Morales, Kimberly (Jeff) Lowe, Shannon (Todd) Lloyd, and Kenny Bushman Jr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at McLaren Hospital in Lapeer, MI with his family by his side. Kenny was the proud grandfather to seven grandchildren, Justin Morales, Kylie (Brandon) Loehr, Allison (Zak) Schwerin, Gavin, Connor, Emma, and Zoey Lloyd, and one great-grandson, Maverick Schwerin. Kenny is survived by his sister, Carol Hanson and the late Charles Ludwig, and nephews Eric and Shawn Hanson, his sisters-in-law, Jessica Thomas and Katherine Berube, and brother-in-law, Walter (Martha) Wisniewski, along with many nieces and nephews. Kenny was preceded in death by his loving parents, Robert and Doris (Renshaw) Bushman. Kenny will be missed and loved by his family, many friends, and his second family, Brian, Debbie, J.D and Justin Waters.

Kenny married Frances Bear in 1990, and they recently celebrated 30 wonderful years together. Kenny lived a simple life and was always happy. He loved watching retro TV programs with Fran, especially Perry Mason and Matlock. Kenny loved being outdoors where he loved riding his 8-N Ford tractor and planting flowers and growing vegetables in his garden. Kenny loved spending time with his retrievers, Ernie and Delta. Kenny was very involved in his son’s business and enjoyed going to car and Big Rig Truck shows in St. Ignace, MI. He loved spending time with the Waters family at their home in Drummond Island and enjoyed deer camp. He was a machinist by trade, and worked for his family business for most of his career.

Kenny and Fran have been members of the Almont Vineyard Church for many years, where Kenny was very involved in The Vineyard Church Foods Manna Ministry. He also volunteered many years for the Almont Jr. Raiders as their Grill-master.

Visitation will be at The Almont Vineyard Church on Sunday, Jan. 3 from 3-7 p.m.. A celebration of life will be officiated by Pastor Brad Standfest at The Almont Vineyard Church on Monday, Jan. 4 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Ferguson Cemetery in Almont.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to any local food pantry, or charity of your choice, in Kenny’s name.
