Theodorus “Ted” Reintjes, age 68, of Attica, MI, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 after a brief illness. Ted was born on May 26, 1952 in the Netherlands to parents Theodorus Johannes and Ena Cornellia (Olmier) Reintjes. The family moved to the United States in 1957. Ted was the third oldest of ten children.

Ted enjoyed watching baseball, football, and hockey as well as American Pickers and anything car related. He worked as a welder, fitter, fabricator and was a good mechanic. In his earlier years, Ted played softball on a church league. He was a good cook and loved to cook Indonesian food. You always knew when a jalapeno pepper was hot enough for him– when he got the hiccups and the top of his head would sweat.

He married Vickie Wheeler on June 22, 1985 in Imlay City, MI.

Ted is survived by his wife, Vickie Reintjes; son, Ted Reintjes, Jr.; daughter, Marie (Ken) Minney; and his stepdaughter, Tracy (Eric) Johnston. He is also survived by his grandchildren, TJ Reintjes, Joshua Reintjes, Taylor Deitch, Lauryn Deitch and Alexis Johnston; his siblings, Harold (Beverly) Reintjes, Andrew (Carol) Reintjes, Hank Reintjes, Edward Reintjes, Peter (Dorothy) Reintjes, Betsy (Dennis) Sadecki, Ena Reintjes, Florence (Larry) Smith and Rosie Welch; and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place.

A gathering is not scheduled due to COVID. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
