Maria Carreno, 67, of Capac, MI died Monday, November 9, 2020 at McLaren Flint Region Medical Center of Flint, MI. Maria Minerva Morales Paramo was born January 6, 1953 in Panales, Galera, Guanajuato, Mexico. She was the daughter of the late Jose Raul Morales and the late Maria Dolores Paramo. Maria grew up in La Calera, Guanajuato, Mexico. She married Jose Carreno on April 14, 1968 in Mexico. Maria and Jose have lived in the Capac and Imlay City areas for the past 25 years.

She was a home maker, raising her family. For a few years, Maria was employed at Vlasic Foods in Imlay City, MI.

Maria is survived by her husband, Jose Carreno; her sons, Jesus (Sandra) Carreno of Capac and Adrian (Elizabeth) Carreno of Capac; daughter, Maria (Jose Hernandez) Carreno of Attica; 11 grandchildren; and her siblings, Serafin, Lilia, Jose Raul, Martin, Guadalupe, Manuel, Jesus, Marina and Mirna.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Maria Morales; her brother, Manuel; and her sister, Anna.

The funeral service was held Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 700 Maple Vista, Imlay City, MI. Reverend Fr. Noel Cornelio, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, officiated. Interment followed at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Arrangements were entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 225 N. Main St., Imlay City, MI.
