Lapeer and St. Clair county voters looking for information on federal and state candidates can now pick up a copy of the nonpartisan Voter Guide published by the League of Women Voters. Primarily the guides can be found at libraries, senior housing, and municipal offices although copies may be found at other sites, including the Tri-City Times’ offices in Imlay City.
The guide has information on candidates for U.S. Senate, U.S. House, University Trustees, Michigan Supreme Court and Court of Appeals as well as the two statewide ballot proposals to be decided November 3. Information not received in time for the printed guide can be found online at VOTE411.org.
Because the guide is published for statewide candidates and issues, there is no information related to local candidates and ballot proposals. Watch for this information in future issues of the Tri-City Times.
If any group, business or organization would like multiple copies to distribute, please contact Jan Watz, local League member at
810-664-7603 or janetwatz@yahoo.com
Our elections are best when people educate themselves regarding their choices And please remember to vote November 3.
