ALMONT — The aftermath of the shutdown of Almont High School due to a confirmed case of COVID-19 among its student body continues to be felt.
Not only will students not be allowed to attend school in person there until October 12, athletic events are also called off for the immediate future.
The only exception to that rule may be girls’ golf, which has their regional set for October 7.
High school boys’ soccer, boys’ tennis and volleyball plus boys’ and girls’ cross country will not compete until further notice.
The tentative return for football is Friday, October 16 when Almont hosts BWAC rival Richmond. That matchup lists a 7 p.m. starting time.
