LAPEER COUNTY — Existing and new road construction projects are underway this week.

Look for crews on westbound I-69, just west of Lake Pleasant Road in Attica Township. This week, they’re due to close one lane of traffic to saw cut sections of the road and then repave them.

According to the Lapeer County Road Commission, the entrance ramp to westbound I-69 will remain open but drivers will need to yield to traffic to enter the interstate in the passing lane.

Work continues on Tubspring Road in Almont Township, between Kidder and Howland roads, with site restoration activities followed by line painting.

On Newark Road in Imlay Township, paving is slated to happen this week between Reek and Bowman roads. It’s expected to reopen to all traffic the week of Sept. 21.
