Mary Richey, 89, of Imlay City, MI died Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Advantage Living Center of Armada, MI. Mary Rosalie Richey was born February 26, 1931 in Detroit, MI. She was the daughter of the late Charles and the late Regina (Charest) Brown. Mary grew up in Detroit and was a graduate of Nativity Catholic High School in Detroit. She married William Richey on June 18, 1949 in Detroit, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Richey on July 9, 1975.

Mary was a Licensed Real Estate Agent, a Broker, and an Appraiser. She was the very proud owner of her business, Richey Realty of Imlay City. Mary was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Imlay City and was the parish secretary for about ten years.

Mary is survived by her children, Bill (Teresa) Richey of Imlay City, Denise Wilson of Lansing, MI, Dennis (Debra) Richey of Yale, MI, Cheryl Elery of Lapeer, MI, Patrice (Tim) Clark of Grand Rapids, MI and Daniel (Jennie) Richey of Imlay City, MI. Also surviving are Mary’s 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William Richey; sons, David Richey and Christopher Richey; daughter, Kimberly Richey; sons-in-law, Roy Wilson and Charles Elery; and brothers, Charles Brown, Jr. and Joseph Brown.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI.

Cremation has taken place and a family burial of cremated remains may take place at a later date.
