God called his daughter, Jeanine P. Hammond, 66, of Kingston home Sunday, July 12, 2020 in Marlette Regional Hospital Emergency, Marlette. She was born December 15, 1953 in Ferndale to Robert and Jean (Moore) Hammond.

Jeanine was a terrific mother and grandma. She loved and cherished every moment she spent with her children and grandchildren. Jeanine enjoyed cooking for her own family, every Tuesday night they gathered for family dinners. She was proud of her flower gardens and her daughter, Jessica, inherited her green thumb. Jeanine worked for Big Boy restaurant for over thirty-five years where she poured out herself for others, especially her regular customers that she knew well. Her greatest joy was taking care of others.

Jeanine is survived by her husband, Dave Blomquist of Kingston; son, Russell (Dawn Lounsberry) Blomquist of Silverwood; daughters, Alisha (Jason) Vislosky of Marlette and Jessica (Dale) Pisha of Kingston; grandchildren, Drue Pisha, Hector Pisha, Claire Pisha, Madelynn Vislosky and Matilda Vislosky; and siblings, Robert Hammond, Janet Wnuk, Forrest Hammond and Margaret Warrington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Arden Hammond; and sisters, Rachel Hammond and Susan Blayney.

A memorial service was held Monday, July 20, 2020 in Hope Community Christian Church of Marlette with Pastor Paul Rohling officiating. Private burial will take place in West Dayton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jessica Pisha for the family’s wishes.
