Lukas Gale Nielsen, 19, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 in Almont. He was born in Shelby Township on January 12, 2001, the son of Scott and Karen (Tabor) Nielsen.
Lukas is survived by his parents, Scott and Karen Nielsen; brother, Jakob Nielsen; paternal grandparents, Gale Nielsen and Kathryn Andree; maternal grandparents, Charlie and Charolotte Tabor; aunts, Kristen (Kurt) Rennecker and Julie Jason; uncles, Tom (Nikie) Tabor and Ross (Paula) Tabor; many special cousins and other family members; and friends who will miss him dearly.
Lukas was a 2019 graduate of Almont High School and was currently attending Oakland University, studying music technology. Music was everything to Lukas. He loved playing guitar, playing in the school jazz, concert and marching bands. He also participated in the school theater group, and was a dedicated gamer. Lukas enjoyed watching movies and will be remembered as being soft spoken and having the biggest heart.
A private family service for Lukas was held at the Lux and Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held later this summer in Almont.
