I wanted to say “thank you” for an article you printed a while ago. It was about McLaren looking for sewers to make masks.
I called the number listed and left a message that I was more than willing to help. I didn’t hear anything for a couple of weeks so I assumed they had enough people to help.
My granddaughter is an ER nurse in Texas and called asking if I could make a specific scrub cap as they are now ordered to wear one the entire time they work. Between her and her friends they needed a dozen so I started making them.
When almost done, I received a call from McLaren explaining they had plenty of masks but they asked if I would consider making surgery caps. So I finished the scrub cabs and mailed them one day and started the surgery caps the next. I delivered them a week later.
Thanks for posting their plea for sewers. I can’t help a lot but I can sew.
