CAPAC — Like Imlay City did the previous week and Almont did last week, Capac has determined their youth baseball league will not go on as planned this season.
“It is with a very heavy heart that we have determined that the 2020 CYBL season is canceled,” Capac Youth Baseball and Softball League Treasurer Mary Rilley said. “Even if the Stay at Home order is lifted on May 15th, other leagues in the area have already canceled their seasons as well,” she noted.
“Once the Stay at Home order has been lifted we will announce a date that anyone who paid for registration with cash can come and pick up their refunds. If you paid with a check and your check has not cleared, be assured we still have it and it will not be deposited. You may either pick up your check when we are able to set up a date or may message the CYBL Facebook page and we will shred your check for you. If your check has already been deposited, you may pick up your refund once we have that date set.”
League organizers emphasized this was a tough choice to make.
“Please understand this was not an easy decision to make, but for our safety of our players, families and friends we feel this is the best choice at this time,” Rilley added.
If you have any questions, call Mary Rilley at 810-650-9744, Tina Howard at 810-459-3753 or message the CYBL Facebook page
