Delia Schocke, 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, March 30, 2020 at her residence in Warren, MI. She was born February 21, 1928 to Santos and Lucille Reyes Olivarez in Mercedes, Texas. She married Elton Schocke September 18, 1948. They raised their family in Imlay City. Delia worked as a cook many years and retired from Imlay City Borland Elementary. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and Imlay Red Hatters. She loved talking to people, shopping and McDonald’s hamburgers.

She is survived by son, Elton and wife Mickey; daughters, Nancy Boddiford and fiance Joey Sorrano, Denise Schocke and Susan and Dave Wagner; grandchildren Kerry and Kim Schocke, Jim Schocke, Aaron Bogart, Amanda and Chris Grovenstein, Matthew and Patti Carr, Eric and Kristie Wagner, Adam and Kasha Wagner; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by siblings, Tony and Esther Olivarez, Sandra Leach, MaryLou Medrano and Gloria Aguinaga; and sisters-in-law Marion Campbell, Peggy Schocke and Edith Schocke.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton of 62 years; brothers, Robert and Mary Olivarez, Henry Olivarez and John Olivarez; sisters Ramona and Felix Sanchez, Clotilde (Tila) and Ray Gutierrez and Archie Leach; in-laws Fred and MaryAnn Schocke, Franklin Schocke, Charles Schocke, Wilma Schocke, Clarence and Jackie Schocke, Raymond Schocke, Dave Campbell and Harold Schocke.

There will be a memorial service at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at a later date.
