Albert Irelan, 86, of Attica, MI died Friday, March 27, 2020 in his home. Albert Delano Irelan was born March 30, 1933 in Oxford, MI. He was the son of the late Darrell Jennings and the late Helen (Darling) Irelan. Albert attended Oxford High School. Albert grew up near Oxford, MI and has lived in the Attica area since the early 1980s. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Marilyn Ann Brown on November 8, 1969 in Pontiac, MI. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn, on July 26, 1996.

Albert retired from Pontiac Motors Corporation as a sheet metal repairman in 1982.

As sheet metal repairman, a “ding-man,” at Pontiac Motors, Albert worked in Plant 16 for 30 years. When he retired, he continued working for himself as an engraver, engraving trophies, and signs and name badges; and he also was a furniture upholsterer.

He is survived by three daughters, Kathy (Ken) Harsen of Muskegon, MI, Dineen Irelan of West Palm Beach, FL and Dawn (Mark) Beyer of Waterford, MI; six sons, Donald Hilliard of Attica, MI, Bob Hilliard of Shelby Twp., MI, Dennis (Renee) Hilliard of White Lake, MI, Donald Irelan of Pahrump, NV, Dean Irelan of Flint, MI and William “Bill” Hilliard of Davison, MI. Albert is also survived by one sister, Bonnie; and by many grandchildren and many more great-grandchildren.

Albert was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; a sister, Rose; and brothers, Duane, Leonard, Hank, Richard and Norman.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 12 p.m. on March 31, 2020 at Ortonville Cemetery, M-15, Ortonville, MI.
