DRYDEN — Dryden pulled out a 44-33 victory over visiting Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes in a Division 4 boys’ district basketball semifinal encounter last Wednesday night.
With the decision, Dryden raises their mark to 15-6 this season.
In Wednesday’s encounter, Dryden jumped out to a 14-3 advantage after one quarter was done.
Quarter two would see Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes counter with an 11-5 edge, closing the gap to 19-14 at the halftime break.
When the action resumed, Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes struck with an 11-10 third quarter advantage. That trimmed their deficit to 29-25 with 24 minutes gone.
Dryden then outscored Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes 15-8 from that point on, finishing up a 44-33 victory.
Jack Kaplan paced Dryden with 16 points. Kaplan drained a triple along the way.
Dryden had six other players reach the scoring column that evening. Their ranks consisted of Coulter Waite (eight points), Ethan Ledford (seven, featuring a trey), Ronny Hudson (five), Jacob Livingston and Joshua Schornak (three each) along with Nate Schenkel (two).
