Wayne Rabert, 65, of Waterford, MI, died Thursday, February 20, 2020 at William Beaumont Hospital of Royal Oak, MI. Wayne Michael Rabert was born October 7, 1954 in Almont, MI. He was the son of the late Frederick and Sybil (Bowns) Rabert. Wayne grew up in Almont, MI. He was a graduate of Almont High School.
He was employed as a vehicle transporter by Lake Orion Auto Movers before retiring.
Wayne was a member of the Teamsters Local 614 in Pontiac, MI.
He was quite the prankster. Wayne was known as the unofficial “Mayor of Lum.” He loved the outdoors– hunting, camping, gardening, and especially, fishing.
Wayne is survived by his mother, Sybil Rabert; his adopted daughter, Ashley; his siblings, Fred (Roberta) Rabert, Sue (Mike) Woodall, Diane Humbach, Michael Rabert and Lisa Rabert.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Rabert; and his brother-in-law, Christopher Humback.
The funeral service was held Saturday, February 22, 2020, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI. Rev. Fr. Suma Muma officiated. Interment followed in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Imlay City, MI.
Funeral arrangements were made by Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
