Theresa Hintz, 65, of Imlay City, MI died Friday, February 7, 2020 at McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital of Lapeer, MI. Theresa Lee Ostrum was born November 29, 1954 in Almont, MI. She was the daughter of the late William Edward and the late Mary Elizabeth (Whitcome) Ostrum.

She married Edward Andrew Hintz on April 7, 1973 in Imlay City, MI. Edward Hintz preceded her in death on April 27, 2016. Theresa graduated from the Imlay City High School Adult Education Program in the early 1980s. Theresa has lived most of her life in the Imlay City area. Theresa and Edward lived for a while (1992 – 2004) in Shelby Twp., MI. Theresa worked as a teller at Imlay City State Bank and as a receptionist at E.S.L. Electronics in Hazel Park; she was mostly at home raising her children.

She is survived by four daughters, Mary Williams of Shelby Township, MI, Michelle Gibbs of Imlay City, MI, Julie (Mike) Guilloz of Richmond, MI and Hope (Greg Crook) Hintz of Imlay City, MI; two sons, Andrew (Marisa) Hintz of Imlay City, MI and Edward Hintz, Jr. of Imlay City, MI; a sister, Tracy Magin of Imlay City, MI; and a brother, Thomas Ostrum of Marlette. Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her parents, William and Mary Ostrum; a brother, Tim Ostrum; and a grandson, Nicholas Hintz.
A graveside service a
nd burial of her cremated remains will take place in the early summertime at Imlay Township Cemetery.
