Frances Shull, 98, of Imlay City, MI died Tuesday, February 4, 2020, surrounded by her family at her home. Frances Mae MacDonald was born May 20, 1921 in Marion, MI. She was the daughter of the late John and the late Hazel (Laming) MacDonald. Frances grew up and lived her entire life in Imlay City. She was a graduate of Imlay City High School. She married Joseph Shull on August 17, 1942 in Imlay City, MI. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, on June 27, 1999.
She was a homemaker, raising her family. Frances enjoyed gardening, painting, crafting and needlework of all kinds.
Frances is survived by one daughter, Judy Shull of Imlay City, MI; her daughter-in-law, Pam Shull of Imlay City, MI; her son, Joseph Shull of Imlay City, MI; and her two sisters, Nancy Barney of Minneapolis, MN and Margaret (Richard) Harvey of Etna, OH.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Shull; her two sons, Tom Shull and John Shull; sister, Faith Simons; her brother, John MacDonald; and her brother-in-law, Jack Barney.
A graveside funeral was held Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Imlay Township Cemetery, 682 N. Fairgrounds Rd., Imlay City, MI. James Simons officiated.
Funeral arrangements were made by Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI.
