Raiders provide coach Hall

with his 300th career win

 

ALMONT — Almont pulled out a 39-33 victory over visiting Armada in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity boys’ basketball game last Friday night.

With the result, Almont goes to 9-5 and 6-3.

In Friday’s game, Almont grabbed a 5-4 edge after one quarter was over with.

Quarter two saw Almont generate 12 points and Armada manage 10, increasing their cushion to 17-14 at the halftime break.

When the action resumed, Almont padded their cushion some. Aided by a 9-7 third quarter edge, the Raiders went up 26-21 with 24 minutes gone.

Almont then outscored Armada 13-12 the rest of the way, pulling out a 39-33 victory.

Gabe Bourdeau (11 points, including a pair of trifectas) led Almont that evening. The Raiders also had Joey Savel and Charlie Koenig (eight points, featuring a pair of treys, each), Brett Wrobel (four), Jacob Rayl (three), Blake Campbell and Grady Nash (two each) along with Blake Cody (one) connect.
