Arthur Potts, age 81, of Attica, MI died suddenly Sunday, February 2, 2020 at McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital of Lapeer, MI. Arthur John Potts was born December 31, 1938 in Chicago, IL. He was the son of the late Louis Benedict and the late Murial (Olson) Potts.

Arthur grew up in the Chicago area and was a graduate of Blue Island High School in the Chicago, IL area. He served in the Air Force. He married JoAnn Marie Cosentino on December 5, 1959 at Chicago, IL.

Arthur was a machinist at International Harvester in Chicago; and later at Goodyear Aerospace in Arizona, manufacturing parts for the Space Shuttle.

Arthur enjoyed his family, especially his granddaughter and great-granddaughter; talking to friends and strangers; bird watching; gardening; spending time with his dogs; and tinkering in his garage.

Arthur is survived by his wife, JoAnn Marie Potts; his daughters, Joi (Ian) Kempf of Imlay City, MI and Jamie Potts of Lapeer, MI; his son, Alan (Christine) Potts of Sun City, AZ; and his sisters, Sharon (Ronald) Benson and Nancy Vanaman. He also is survived by a granddaughter, Miranda Koehler; and a great-granddaughter, Temprance.

The funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI.

The family will be available for visiting hours from 3 – 5:30 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, MI.
