ALMONT — Almont earned a 55-50 win against visiting Davison in a non-league varsity boys’ basketball encounter on Tuesday, January 28.

With the outcome, Almont improves to 7-4 overall.

In Tuesday’s encounter, Almont spotted Davison an 11-8 advantage after one quarter was complete.

The middle two quarters saw Almont manage 33 total points and Davison hit for 18. That staked them to a 41-29 cushion with 24 minutes gone.

Almont then withstood a 21-14 fourth quarter rally, good for a 55-50 win when the final buzzer sounded.
Grady Nash netted 19 points and Joey Savel supplied 13, including three trifectas, to lead Almont. The Raiders also had Gabe Bourdeau (nine points, featuring a pair of treys), Jacob Rayl (a pair of triples), Blake Cody and Brenden Haldeman (a trifecta each) plus Brett Wrobel (two) connect.
