DRYDEN — Dryden defeated visiting Mayville, 56-44, in a North Central Thumb League varsity boys’ basketball confrontation on Tuesday, January 21.
With the decision, Dryden raises their mark to 6-3 and 3-2.
In Tuesday’s confrontation, Dryden and Mayville concluded the initial quarter with eight points apiece.

Quarter two saw Dryden net 13 points and Mayville manage 11, leaving the former ahead 21-19 at the halftime break.
When the action resumed, Dryden struck with a 16-8 third quarter advantage. That enabled them to go ahead 37-27 with 24 minutes gone.
Dryden then outscored Mayville 19-17 the rest of the way, finishing off a 56-44 victory.
Jack Kaplan (17 points, including a pair of trifectas), Nate Schenkel (16 points, featuring a thunderous two-handed dunk) and Ronny Hudson (13) led Dryden with double digit point totals. They were backed by Coulter Waite (six points, featuring a trey), Jacob Livingston (two) and Josh Schornak (one).
