ALMONT — Almont wound up with a 56-45 road setback to Richmond in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity boys’ basketball encounter last Friday night.
With the decision, Almont slips to 6-4 and 4-2.
In Friday’s encounter, Richmond grabbed a 16-12 edge after one quarter was done.
The middle two quarters saw Richmond amass 21 total points and Almont generate 19, leaving the former up 37-31 with 24 minutes gone.
Richmond then outscored Almont 19-14 the rest of the way, closing out a 56-45 win.
For Almont, Bret Wrobel led the way with 15 points. He drained a triple along the way. The Raiders also had Gabe Bourdeau (10 points, including a trifecta), Colby Schapman (nine), Charlie Koenig (six, featuring a pair of treys), Jacob Rayl (three) and Joey Savel (two) connect.
