IMLAY CITY — Imlay City handed host North Branch a 50-34 setback in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity girls’ basketball confrontation last Friday night.
In Friday’s confrontation, Imlay City bolted out to a 15-5 advantage after one quarter was done.
Imlay City then widened the gap to 28-16 at halftime and 41-25 with 24 minutes elapsed.
Both sides then hit for nine points apiece during quarter number four, giving Imlay City a 50-34 triumph at night’s end.
Mary Lengemann (15 points) topped Imlay City’s scoring list that evening. She was backed by Abigail Thibodeau (nine points), Delayna Osko (eight), Jaya Forti and Kayla Rossen (six apiece), Ana Lengemann (a triple), Macenzie Allen (two) and Isabella Aune (one).
