Capac 189-pounder Bryce Tank is in command of his match versus Memphis last Wednesday.

CAPAC — The Capac wrestling team claimed a pair of wins against visiting Greater Thumb Conference East foes last Wednesday.
Capac opened their two-match stint with a 48-24 victory over Sandusky.
Derek Mason and Bryce Tank led Capac with triumphs by pin. Mason downed Zeke Foster at 135 pounds, while Tank bested 189-pound counterpart Jackson Rich. Their fall times were not available.
Jeff Helzer (103), Max Frangedakis (112), Nathan Schocke (119), Shane Hofmann (125), Hunter Tyson (152) and Jesus Martinez-Guerrero (285) provided Capac with wins by void.
Capac also squared off versus Memphis.
When the final scores were tallied, Capac picked up a 42-30 victory.
Mason and Tank paced Capac with triumphs by pin. The former took 1:45 to down Todd Masters at 135 pounds, while the latter needed 2:33 to conquer 189-pound adversary Eddie Gruszczynski.
Helzer (103), Tyson (145), Hunter Thorner (152) and Martinez-Guerrero (285) gave Capac wins by void.
Capac also received victories by decision courtesy of Frangedakis and Schocke. Frangedakis handed Troy Trombley a 7-2 setback at 112 pounds and Schocke made 119-pound rival Nathan Peters absorb an 8-1 loss.
With the results, Capac improves to 2-2 this season.
