Matthew Paul Delia, 44, of Lynn Township, passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 2, 2019.

He was born April 19, 1975, in Mt. Clemens, the son of Jesse and the late Karen (Wilkins) Delia.

Matt married his high school sweetheart Amy Stanton March 13, 2004, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett.

Matthew was currently employed with B & J Well Drilling, his family’s business. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, and the occasional trip to the casino for a night of gambling. Matthew was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Amy, of 15 years are his father, Jesse George Delia; brother, Jesse Alan (Tina) Delia; niece and nephew, Jenna and Nicholas Delia; mother and father-in-law, Dale and Suzanne Stanton; sister and brother-in-law, Heather (Lee) Bilinski; nephews, Gavin and Colton Bilinski; as well as many friends and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Delia; and grandparents, Lawrence and Irene Delia and Robert and Virginia Wilkins.

Rite of Christian Burial was Saturday, December 7, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett. Fr. Tom Kuehnemund, pastor of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett, and Scared Heart Catholic Church, Yale, officiated.
