Jean Ryckman, age 90, of Imlay City, MI died Friday, November 29, 2019 at Heatherton Place Assisted Living of Imlay City, MI. Georgenia “Jean” Ryckman was born May 24, 1929 in Marlette, MI. She was the daughter of the late Leon and the late Mary (Pellitier) Primeau. Jean grew up in the Marlette area. She was a graduate of Marlette High School. Jean married Arnold D. “Sam” Ryckman on September 29, 1950 in Imlay City, MI. Sam died on June 24, 2015.
Jean was a homemaker. She enjoyed working around the house and taking care of her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Sharon (Ron) Jones of Fort Myers, FL, Linda (Dick) Fisher of Imlay City, MI and Lauri (Charles) Robertson of St. Marys, Georgia; she has four grandchildren, Benjamin Flowers, Brandy Deaton, Lindsay Deaton, and Jeania (Josh) De Yonker. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren; one brother, Dick; two sisters, Marie and Gerry.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Sam; a grandson, Kenneth Flowers; and several brothers and sisters.
The funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City, 225 N. Main Street, Imlay City, Michigan. Pastor Sue Brown will officiate. Burial will follow at Imlay Township Cemetery.
The family will be available for visiting hours from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, December 4 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home of Imlay City.
