Gary Nelson, age 82 of Brown City, died November 27, 2019. He was born in Watford, Ontario to Albert and Leona Nelson. He attended Imlay City High School. He was married to Beverly Uplegger and on December 3, 1988 married June Romskin Winslow.
Gary was a lifelong truck driver and most recently drove a gravel train for Holloway Trucking for about 10 years. He was a tractor pull competitor and won many trophies with his red machines. He was a long time member of the Imlay City Eagles Club.
He is survived by his wife, June Nelson; four children, Gerald (Katherine) Nelson, Marty Nelson, Mark Nelson, Missy (Gordon) Morris and Preston (Julie) Nelson; three stepchildren, Mike (Pam) Winslow, Todd (Liz) Winslow and Billy Winslow; and ten grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother, Joyce Nelson, William Nelson and Gail McCray.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 3 at Carman Funeral Home. Burial was at Burnside Township Cemetery.
