The Imlay City Schools is seeking renewal of an expiring bond fund tax. This is not an increase in your taxes. It is a continuation of what homeowners currently pay.
Education costs money. Studies show that educated people are part of the link to healthy and dynamic communities. A ‘yes’ vote for this proposal will help Imlay City have that strong link.
I am excited that our district is heading in that direction. This proposal would allow for short-term and long-term infrastructure improvements as well as the addition of an auditorium/performing arts center —projects that cannot be funded otherwise by our general fund.
I am proud to say I am a graduate of Imlay City High School, a long-time member of this community and active volunteer. I ask that you please join me on November 5 and vote YES for this ballot proposal.
