Evelyn Butterfield, age 94, of Okeechobee, FL (formerly of Lapeer, MI) died Monday, September 23, 2019 in Okeechobee, FL. She grew up in Lapeer. Evelyn was a graduate of Lapeer High School. She married Arnold Butterfield.
She was employed as a bookkeeper by DP Sullivan Motor Company – Buick Pontiac Dealership in Lapeer, MI and then became an all-encompassing homemaker, raising her family.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Arnold Franklin Butterfield; her son, Ronald (Debbie) Butterfield of Williamsburg, KY; five daughters, Sharon (Gary) Gilbert of Palmmetto, FL, LaRae Evans of Ramsay, MI, Debra Rizor of Lapeer, MI, Jacqueline (Ronald) Chittum of Bottineau, ND and Pamela (Fred) Radelt of Imlay City, MI; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her sister-in-law: Barbara (Walter) Orlowski.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 200 N. Cedar St., Imlay City, MI. Reverend Alan Casillas, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment will follow at Attica Township Cemetery, Attica, MI.
