Cameron Patrick Schrader, age 29 of Lapeer, passed away September 6, 2019. He was born November 2, 1989 in Port Huron, MI. Cameron was a graduate of Lapeer West High School, class of 2008. Cameron was kind and thoughtful with a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. He was very active and loved the outdoors. Cameron had a passion for cars and gardening. He loved snowboarding, skateboarding, going to the golf range and the shooting range, playing corn hole, attending concerts, and working on his garden. He was very talented in many aspects of life. He could play you the guitar, work on your car, bake you a cake, cook you dinner, make you furniture from scratch, plant you a garden oasis, throw you a party, and make you laugh and smile. Cameron enjoyed documentaries, gaining knowledge, science, and figuring out how things worked. He will be deeply missed.
Cameron is survived by his mother, Kristy (Darin) Hanchett of Columbiaville; father, Patrick Schrader of Brown City; sisters, Alyssa Schrader and Addison Hanchett; grandparents, George and Nancy Chapman of Capac; grandmother, Shirley Schrader of Emmett; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many friends.
A message from the love of his life, Ashley Lankton: “We had big plans. You are and always will be the love of my life. I am so entirely grateful to have found my soulmate in this lifetime. I promise you, I will carry your memory with me everywhere I go and with every memory I make, you will be there. If only our forever wasn’t cut so short. I love you so much and you will always be my favorite.”
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Walton Schrader and is reunited with his brother Tyler Schrader.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors – Capstick Chapel in Lapeer.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 4 p.m. Friends may visit with the family and share memories of Cameron from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
